A good travel insurance protects you in the event of a cancellation, accident or illness. A medical travel insurance that protects you when travelling abroad, is particularly important, and even more in case of active holidays such as cycling holidays. In order to be able to assist our guests in case of need, we ask for the details of the insurance policies of all participants (insurer, contract number and emergency number) before starting your cycling holidays with us.
If you do not have a travel insurance policy yet and you are a German citizen or resident, you can get covered by TravelSecure, the travel insurance of Würzburger-Versicherungs-AG.
Trip Cancellation Insurance
Nothing is more annoying than having to cancel your long-awaited holidays due to unpredictable reasons. To prevent you from being financially damaged in such a situation, a trip cancellation insurance protects you from any cancellation fees. Please take into account that most trip cancellation insurance policies must be signed no later than 30 days before starting the journey. For short-term bookings within 30 days before the start of the trip you are only protected by the trip cancellation insurance if the policy was signed on the day of booking or the following day at the latest.
Medical Travel Insurance
In the event of any illness or accident in Colombia, you are most probably not covered by the statutory health insurance of your country. In order to be protected during your cycling holidays in Colombia, you should have a international medical travel insurance, which protects you travelling abroad. TravelSecure’s medical travel insurance has been rated “VERY GOOD” by Stiftung Warentest – Finanztest, Germany’s most important consumer organisation involved in testing goods and services, and offers you travel protection up to 56 days, even if you travel several times a year.
If you are a German citizen or resident, TravelSecure can get you covered tailored to your needs. Compare and choose the best insurance plan for you. Keep in mind that the annual insurance may possibly be the most convenient option.
